Terms and Conditions of Hire
Last updated: 22 February 2026
These terms apply to the hire of an inflatable night club and related equipment supplied by Southport Inflatables (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the person making the booking (“you”, “your”, “hirer”). By paying a deposit or confirming a booking, you agree to these terms.
These terms are written for UK use and include basic consumer-law wording, but they are not a substitute for formal legal advice tailored to your business.
1. Booking and Deposit
- All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by us.
- A £20 non-refundable deposit is required for all bookings to secure the date.
- A booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received and we confirm acceptance.
- The remaining balance and payment timing will be agreed when the booking is confirmed.
- We may refuse a booking if the site, access or event conditions are unsuitable or unsafe.
2. Hire Price and Delivery
- Standard inflatable night club hire price is £200, including seats, music system and lights, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- An overnight hire charge of £25 applies if you request overnight hire.
- An optional smoke machine add-on is £18 (including fluid), subject to availability and site suitability.
- Delivery is free in the Southport area.
- Delivery charges for other areas depend on location, route, access, and timing and will be quoted before booking confirmation.
- If access is significantly different from what was described at booking, additional charges may apply or the hire may be cancelled if safe setup is not possible.
3. Site, Access and Setup Requirements
- The inflatable unit is approximately 15ft x 20ft. You must provide a clear setup area of at least 17ft x 22ft.
- You must ensure the setup area is reasonably level, clear of obstacles, debris, animal waste, sharp objects and overhead hazards (including tree branches, cables and structures).
- The inflatable may be installed on garden or hard standing, subject to our assessment of suitability and safe anchoring.
- For hard standing setups, sand bags and other suitable securing methods may be used.
- You must provide safe and sufficient access for delivery, setup and collection at the agreed times.
- If access is restricted (for example narrow passages, stairs, steep slopes or blocked routes), you must tell us before booking.
4. Power Supply
- You must provide a working 240V mains electricity supply with a standard 13 amp plug socket near the setup area.
- You are responsible for ensuring the power supply is safe and suitable for normal domestic use.
- If the required power supply is not available on arrival, we may be unable to complete the hire and the booking may be treated as a cancellation.
5. Customer Responsibilities During Hire
- You are responsible for the hired equipment from completion of setup until collection, unless we have separately agreed to provide an operator/supervision service in writing.
- You must ensure the equipment is used safely and only for its intended purpose.
- You must not move, interfere with, disconnect, re-anchor, climb on, or modify the equipment, blower, cables, music system or lights.
- You must keep the area free from smoking, naked flames, barbecues, fireworks, candles, glass, sharp objects and anything that may damage the inflatable.
- No pets or animals are permitted on or inside the inflatable unless we have agreed this in writing.
- You must prevent misuse, overcrowding, rough behaviour and unsafe conduct at all times.
- You must notify us immediately if the equipment appears damaged, unstable or unsafe, or if it deflates or stops working.
6. Weather and Safety
- Hires are subject to safe weather conditions. We may refuse, delay, suspend or cancel setup/use if weather conditions make use unsafe.
- Where relevant, outdoor inflatable use must stop if weather conditions become unsafe (including high winds or severe weather).
- You must follow any safety instructions we give at setup and during the hire.
- No refund is due for loss of use caused by your failure to follow safety instructions or by unsafe site/power conditions you are responsible for.
7. Overnight Hire
- Overnight hire is only available by prior agreement and payment of the £25 overnight charge.
- You remain responsible for the equipment overnight and must keep it secure from theft, vandalism, unauthorised use and weather-related risks.
- We may refuse overnight hire where the location, security arrangements or weather conditions are unsuitable.
8. Cancellations and Changes
- Your £20 deposit is non-refundable, including if you cancel.
- If you need to change the date or location, contact us as soon as possible. We will try to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee availability.
- If we have to cancel due to unsafe conditions, equipment failure, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will offer a rebooking option or refund amounts paid (excluding the deposit only where clearly agreed at booking; otherwise we will confirm the position in writing).
- We are not responsible for any indirect or consequential losses you may suffer because of cancellation, delay or interruption (for example event costs, lost profits, or third-party charges), except where the law does not allow this.
9. Damage, Loss and Cleaning
- You are responsible for any loss, theft, damage or excessive cleaning costs caused during the hire period (other than fair wear and tear).
- You agree to pay reasonable repair, replacement, cleaning, recovery and related costs if damage or loss occurs while the equipment is in your care.
- Please ensure children and guests do not bring food, drink, chewing gum, face paint, confetti, silly string or sharp items onto or into the inflatable unless we specifically agree otherwise.
10. Liability (Important)
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under UK law.
- Subject to clause 10.1, our total liability to you arising from or in connection with the hire (whether in contract, negligence or otherwise) is limited to the total amount paid by you for the relevant booking.
- Subject to clause 10.1, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity or third-party costs.
- You are responsible for all persons using or attending the hired equipment at your venue/location and for following all safety instructions provided.
11. Photographs and Marketing
- We may take photographs of the equipment setup for insurance, quality control or marketing purposes, provided we take reasonable care not to identify individuals without permission.
- If you do not want photographs taken for marketing, please tell us before setup.
12. Complaints
- If there is a problem with your hire, please contact us as soon as possible on the day so we can try to resolve it quickly.
- Complaints made after the event may limit our ability to investigate issues fairly.
13. General
- If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest of the terms remain in force.
- Any waiver or exception must be agreed by us in writing.
- These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales unless consumer law allows otherwise.
